I am excited announce our new show that is filled with fantasy and DONUTS! I have long admired the work of Eric Joyner and remember meeting him several years ago in the early days of All Good Pizza. My son was much younger then and he loved all things robots, so my eyes were wide open to this subject.
Eric is a Bay Area native and after art school he joined the San Francisco Society of Illustrators. For the last 25 years he's been focused on painting thigs that he personally likes and this is how tin robots and spaceships entered his work. I love the references to Bay Area famed instutions like See's Candy. In the piece below (proudly showcased by Aelin, everyone's favorite barista) you see a See's Candy truck run off the rails under a mile high Barbie.

Typically I like to serve a beautiful spread of all things seasonal for our art openings. This time, however, I think we need donuts. So please join us Saturday, September 13th from 12-2 pm for donuts and mimosas to celebrate the work of Eric Joyner.
Here's my favorite piece in the show, which I bought to hang in my kitchen for my son (even though he is now away at art school!)

All of Eric's work on display is available for sale and he also has a fun selection of smaller prints for sale as well. Stop by and check them out and slip into his incredible fantasy world.
While visiting, make sure to check out his book, lent to me by my bestie Earl, who is a Joyner collector.

Hope to see you on the 13th- I'll be indulging in an old fashioned glazed cake donut, my personal favorite.
Eric's show runs through October 6th.
